Colebrookdale Railroad Kicks Off

Fall Excursions with Scenic Foliage Rides

The Colebrookdale Railroad is set to launch its highly anticipated fall-themed excursions this weekend, offering passengers a chance to experience one of the most scenic train rides in Pennsylvania. Recognized by Martha Stewart Living, USA Today, and Country Living Magazine, the Colebrookdale Railroad features some of the most beautiful train cars in the world, traveling along a historic 150-year-old track through the nation’s oldest iron-making corridor. As the train winds through the valley along the Manatawny and Ironstone Creeks, passengers will be treated to stunning fall foliage, with the landscape transforming into vibrant hues from mid-September to early November.

These excursions include a variety of themed train rides, such as lunch, brunch, or dinner journeys, the Cider and Donuts Express, and scenic Fall Foliage tours. Special events like wine or hard cider tastings, a sensory-friendly train, and a thrilling Murder Mystery Adventure are also available. Onboard, passengers can enjoy locally produced fall-inspired foods and beverages, served by attendants in classic Pullman-style uniforms, evoking the elegance of train travel from a century ago. The historic Beaver car, built in 1928 by the Pullman Company, will also be returning to service this season.

For added fun, the Colebrookdale Creamery and wine bar—set in a 1914 Baltimore and Ohio baggage car—offers homemade ice cream from Longacre’s Modern Dairy and local wines from Ridgewood Winery. Every Saturday, visitors can enjoy live music at the railyard in Boyertown, PA, adding to the festive atmosphere.
