Boyertown Gears Up for Spooky Window Display Contest Tonight!

Tonight, Friday, October 4th, Boyertown will transform into a Halloween wonderland with a special window display contest from 5-8 PM. Local businesses are getting into the spooky spirit, decorating their storefronts with eerie and creative designs for all to enjoy. Residents and visitors are encouraged to stroll through town, check out the chilling displays, and vote for their favorite. It's a fun way to kick off the Halloween season while supporting local shops and restaurants.

Muttch Better Dog Walking Seeks New

Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters

Muttch Better Dog Walking, established in 2023, is excited to announce that they are hiring! If you have a passion for pets and enjoy spending time outdoors, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. The local pet care company is seeking reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join their team as dog walkers and pet sitters.

To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license. The position offers flexible hours, with availability required between 10 AM and 3 PM, Monday through Friday. Whether you're looking for part-time work or a fun way to earn money while staying active, this role provides a great way to connect with the community and its four-legged residents.

Montgomery County Community College to Hold Fall Open Houses on October 19 & 26

Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) is gearing up to welcome prospective students and their families to its fall open house events at both the Pottstown and Blue Bell campuses. These events offer an opportunity for attendees to explore MCCC’s facilities, programs, and services while learning more about what the college has to offer.

The first open house will be held on Saturday, October 19, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Pottstown Campus, located at 101 College Drive. The event will take place in South Hall Student Commons, and visitors will have the chance to tour the Wellness Center, machine shop, student theater, and the Sound Recording and Music Technology (SRT) studio in North Hall.

The second open house is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, also from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Blue Bell Campus, located at 340 DeKalb Pike. This event will begin in the Montco Cultural Center theater, part of the Science Center building. Visitors will be guided through the Advanced Technology Center, including the state-of-the-art Mix Room at Montco, recording studios, Montco Radio, and the TV studio. Additionally, guests can check out the progress on the Hospitality Institute, which is set to open later this fall to support students in the Baking and Pastry, Culinary Arts, and Tourism and Hospitality Management programs.

Both events are free and open to the public, with registration available at mc3.edu/openhouse.

Comedian Andrew Packer to Perform Live at SoulJoel's in Pottstown on October 5th

This Saturday, October 5th, SoulJoel’s is excited to host Canadian stand-up comedian Andrew Packer for his debut inside the venue. The show kicks off at 7 PM, with doors opening at 6 PM. General admission tickets are available for just $20, while VIP seating is offered for $30. The venue is located at 50 Sunnybrook Road, Pottstown, PA 19464.

Guests can enjoy food from Gatsby’s Pub before the show, along with drinks available before, during, and after the event.

Andrew Packer is known for his sharp observational humor and quick crowd work. As the creator and lead anchor of MAN NEWS, a comedic news network, Andrew has garnered over a billion views on social media. His comedic talents have taken him to 15 countries, with performances at JFL Toronto, JFL Vancouver, and the prestigious Edinburgh International Fringe Festival. He was a finalist in the 40th Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition and won “Best Overall Performance.”

Andrew’s debut comedy special, "On Guard", released by 800 Pound Gorilla Media, has already amassed over 100,000 views.
